Oysterworld is dedicated to the production of the Portuguese oyster Crassostrea angulata which only exists in Portugal in the Sado Estuary. The industrialization of the 60s and 70s almost completely decimated the Sado oyster. Today the oyster is recovering and it is already possible to return to eat one of the best and rarest oysters in the world!
