BUYIN.PT delegation visited TIANJIN, R.P. CHINA to deepen business partnership

Following the signing, last November 2018, of the partnership with the Chinese state-owned company Dongjiang Direct - Tianjin Dongjiang Import Commodity Direct Service Co., Ltd., based in Tianjin, People's Republic of China, a delegation of “ BUYIN.PT - Comércio Eletrônica, SA ”traveled to the city in mid-January, with the purpose of the mission being to learn about the conditions of exportation of Portuguese products and other origins to that free zone and to deepen the existing partnership.

BUYIN.PT is a Portuguese technology startup that has designed and currently manages two marketplaces, including the BuyinPortugal.pt platform, an online B2B marketplace of Portuguese exporting companies, for international buyers.

Dongjiang Direct - Tianjin Dongjiang Import Commodity Direct Service Co., Ltd is a Chinese state-owned company wholly owned by Tianjin Dongjiang Investment Service Co., Ltd., which implemented the Dongjiang International Trade Service Platform. “China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone (TJFTZ)”, which is a highly developed northern China regional free trade zone, which has investment facilities and high quality industries and financial services. It covers a total area of ​​119.9 square kilometers and is divided into three areas, Tianjin Port Dongjiang, Tianjin Airport and CBD Binhai.

Dongjiang International Trade Service Platform, which provides services such as trade facilitation and business establishment in China, has cooperated with several European and Asian countries in building overseas shopping centers, and is now in A center for imported products in the Tianjin free port, which will facilitate the entry into the Chinese domestic market, of the Portuguese BuyinPortugal.pt partner companies, through online and offline channels.

It was agreed that during the first half of 2019 BUYIN.PT will select companies and a few hundred products to be exported to “DFTP-Dongjiang Direct”, which will be responsible for marketing and advertising in China, and will import so that products reach the B2B and B2C sales channels that DFTP-Dongjiang Direct has in the free port of Tianjin, 30 imported product sales centers in 11 Chinese cities, B2B and B2C e-commerce platforms, and B2C vending machines.

It was also agreed that this would be a long-term partnership, and that business would be based on mutual trust, with the aim of implementing agreements between the two countries, the construction of the Free Trade Pilot Zone, the “Belt and Road ”, the agreement on“ Economic Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-Speaking Countries ”, and the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Portugal and China.

The goal is to help Portuguese and Portuguese-speaking companies to sell in mainland China easily, quickly and safely.

BUYIN.PT has a strategic partnership with the Macau Importers and Exporters Association and is an associate of the Luso-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

BUYIN.PT is currently selecting products from its associated Portuguese companies to be included in the list of imports by DFTP-Dongjiang Direct.

The delegation included Ricardo Wallis, Sara Jin, Paula Franco de Sá from BUYIN.PT, and businessman Diogo Campos.
